Car Insurance Subaru (Car Insurance). When driving on a high way do you stick to the ride side?

When driving on a high way do you stick to the ride side? Do you always go to your nearest right side road when driving on the high way

I stick to the right if traffic is moving faster than I am. I tend to stick to the speed limit. The right lane is for slow moving vehicles. If there are a lot of slow moving trucks to pass or if there is no one behind me, I'll use the left lane. Most highway accidents happen while changing lanes so I try to pick my lane and stay with it. normal "rules of the road" are keep right except to pass,,,i try to but some places the right lane is so pot holed from big trucks i keep left unless someone want to pass me...some roads are actual keep right except to pass by law [like the NY state thruway],,u can get a ticket by cruising in left lane [my dad got a ticket for it] I drive the highway in Ct. and Ma. often. On a 3 lane road I like the middle. Why? Because there are cars frequently entering from the entrances on the right. The right is your slow lane. You'll find many 18 wheelers and slower vehicles in it. On a 2 lane road I usually stay right. You do have to keep your eyes peeled to the road though, because you still get those slower vehicles entering the highway. On 4 lane or more I still like the middle. Some don't because you have moving traffic on both sides of the car. You'll find experience will help immensely.

Subaru . How to Clean the Front of the Radiator in a Ford Taurus

A core component of your Ford Taurus cooling system, the radiator, cools off the engine and prevents overheating. The process sends coolant circulating through hot engine parts, eventually reaching the radiator cooling system. Air blowing through radiator vents (fins) and its passages helps cool the circulating liquid. Clean the front of the radiator in a Ford Taurus in a basic way applicable to most year models.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Garden hose
Soapy water
Soft nylon brushSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done

Step by Step :
1
Understand how the cooling system works. The Taurus cooling process pulls in air while you drive. This causes leaves, insects and dirt to suck into the fins of the radiator fan. Debris in the radiator fan fins results in overheating.
2
Make sure the engine is cold before cleaning, as cold water can damage a hot engine. Additionally, a heated engine means the radiator contains hot coolant under intense pressure.
3
Lift up the Taurus hood and secure it in a fixed, open position. Find the large square-shaped radiator in the front center of your vehicle to the left of the battery. The location stays the same for the 3.0L V6 Vulcan and 3.0L DOHC V6 Duratec engines. Loosen dead insects and other debris by dipping the nylon brush into the soapy water and gently scrubbing the radiator front in the direction of the fins. Rubbing against the direction of the fragile metal fins can cause them to bend.
4
Spray a gentle stream of water on the front of the radiator. Avoid turning the water pressure up too high. Too much pressure on the delicate radiator fins results in bending. Repeat this cleansing process every 12,000 miles or according to scheduled maintenance in your owner's manual.
Tips & Warnings
Add Motorcraft Premium Engine Coolant (colored green) or Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant (colored yellow) to your Ford Taurus. Maintain a 50/50 coolant and distilled water concentration mixture, according to your owner's manual. This combination not only provides freeze and boiling protection but also safeguards the cooling system from various forms of corrosion.

Avoid putting Motorcraft Specialty Orange Engine Coolant (colored orange) into your Ford Taurus. Adding any orange colored engine coolant to your cooling system leads to a decrease in corrosion protection.

Subaru . How to Backflush Cooling Systems

A backflush is a common way to clean out a car's cooling system. This process is often done to completely remove any coolant or anti-freeze that might still remain after the radiator is drained.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Backflush kit
Utility knife
Plastic container
Garden hose
Cold water
Anti-freeze or coolant

Step by Step :
1
Backflush cooling systems by purchasing a backflush kit at a local auto parts store. A backflush kit contains plastic T-tubes, a backflow prevention coupler and a plastic splash tube.
2
Allow your engine to cool completely before opening the radiator cap or disconnecting any hoses.
3
Cut the heater inlet hose with a utility knife. This is the hose that runs along the firewall from the radiator to the front of the engine. It is generally on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
4
Install the T-tube from the backflush kit that fits the heater inlet hose. Use the hose clamps that connect the inlet hose to the engine to tighten the T-tube securely.
5
Remove the radiator cap and install the splash tube from the backflush kit. It should snap right into place and form a seal.
6
Install the backflow prevention coupler from the backflush kit to the end of a garden hose. Hook up the other end of the hose to a faucet. Then connect the backflow prevention coupler to the T-tube you just installed on the end of the heater inlet hose.
7
Drain the radiator by opening the radiator plug at the bottom of the heater coils of the cooling systems. Use a plastic container to collect the fluid.
8
Reconnect the heater inlet hose to the engine using the remaining opening of the T-tube.
9
Start the engine of the car and turn the heater on high.

Step by Step :
10
Turn on the faucet of the garden hose. Within a few seconds, you should start to see radiator fluid pour out of the plastic. You may want to use another plastic container to catch the fluid until clean water comes out.

Step by Step :
11
Turn off the engine.

Step by Step :
12
Turn off the water faucet and disconnect the garden hose from the coupler.

Step by Step :
13
Remove the plastic splash tube from the top of the radiator.

Step by Step :
14
Allow the water to completely drain from the cooling system. Close the radiator plug at the bottom of the heater core.

Step by Step :
15
Seal the T-tube with the cap supplied with the kit and refill the radiator with coolant or anti-freeze.
Tips & Warnings
Remember to use a 50/50 mix of water to anti-freeze or coolant for the best results.

Plunger Spring chamber Plunger sprini Precleaner 138 Part II: What Makes It Go?. The fuel injection pump's brain is the governor (refer to Figure 7-5), which has a very important job: It controls the exact amount of fuel that's sent from each mini-pump to the nozzles and makes sure that the engine doesn't go so fast that it damages itself with excessive heat and pressure. Some governors are built right into the injection pump; others work off the crankshaft or the pump's timing gear; still others measure the speed of the air coming into the engine. All governors are affected by the pressure of your foot on the accelerator, the temperature in the cylinders, the altitude, the speed of the vehicle, and the load that the vehicle is carrying. At this point, the action moves to the cylinders, where the fuel, air, and "fire" meet. While the preceding steps have been taking place to get the fuel where it needs to go, another process has been running simultaneously to get the air where it needs to be for the final, fiery "power play." 5. 348 Car Insurance 1999 mercedes benz ml class ml430sportutility4d 441931

On conventional diesels, the air comes in through an air cleaner that's quite similar to those in ordinary vehicles. However, turbochargers have been developed that ram greater volumes of air into the cylinders and may provide greater power and fuel economy under optimum conditions. A turbocharger can increase the power on a diesel vehicle by 50 percent while lowering its fuel consumption by 20 to 25 percent! (See "Turbocharging" in Chapter 6 for details.) 6. As you've read, turning the key started the glow plugs warming up the air in the cylinders. On many engines, the glow plugs are located right in the combustion chambers of the cylinders. On others, they have been placed in little precombustion chambers (refer to Figure 7-2), which the glow plugs can heat more quickly and easily. 7. From here, combustion spreads from the smaller amount of fuel that's placed under pressure in the precombustion chamber to the fuel and air in the combustion chamber itself. Now take a closer look at each step of the power cycle that converts all this

into power to drive the vehicle. The diesel four-stroke pouter cycle Although some diesel engines operate with two-stroke power cycles, chances are that the vehicles you'll encounter use a four-stroke power cycle, which is comparable to the power cycle of a gasoline engine (see Chapter 6). The following explains how the diesel's four-stroke power cycle works: I f Stroke 1 — Intake stroke (see Figure 7-7): The piston descends, the intake valve opens, and air is drawn into the cylinder. . Stroke 2 — Compression stroke (see Figure 7-8): The intake and exhaust valves are closed as the piston moves upward and places the air under extreme pressure. As the pressure increases, the air heats up to the flash point (the point at which it causes the fuel to undergo sponta neous combustion). Just before that point is reached, fuel injectors spray fuel into the combustion chambers at the precise instant when ignition is to take place. Figure 7-8: Compression stroke. Stroke 3 — Power stroke (see Figure 7-9): With intake and exhaust valves closed, the fuel ignites, and combustion forces the piston down. This driving power is transmitted through the transmission and the rest of the drive train to the wheels, which causes the vehicle to move.

It is also safer than gasoline because its vapors don't explode or ignite as easily as gasoline does. Diesel fuel (sometimes called diesel oil) comes in two grades: Diesel #1 and Diesel #2 (or 1-D and 2-D). Just as gasoline is rated by its octane, diesel fuel is rated by its cetane, which indicates how easy it is to ignite and how fast it will burn. (The higher the cetane number, the more volatile the fuel.) Most diesel vehicles use fuel with a rating of 40 to 55. Most diesel automakers specify Diesel #2 for normal driving conditions. Truckers use Diesel #2 to carry heavy loads for long distances at sustained speeds because it's less volatile than #1 and provides greater fuel economy.
